A day in Dublin
On our very first weekend in Wexford, my friends Nina, Emily, Daisy, Janely, and I all decided to take a day trip up to Dublin. We hopped on a 7:45am train from Wexford to Dublin and this was the first time I had ever been on a train. The train ride from Wexford to Dublin was stunning because it goes along the coast of Ireland. We got into Dublin about 11:00 am and headed straight to Trinity College. Trinity College is so lovely and filled with history with the Book of Kell’s, but I cannot imagine going to college there with so many tourists on a daily basis. After visiting Trinity and eating lunch, we visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Marsh’s Library. The St. Patrick’s Cathedral is so stunning and brought me to tears to see all the history and beauty. I would highly recommend going to St. Patrick while visiting Dublin because I got in for 9 euros with a student discount! Once we got done at St. Patrick we then headed to Marsh’s library which was just a short walk from the Cathedral. Marsh’s library was brilliant and although it is small, it is mighty in beauty. This is another place that I highly recommend you go to and it only costs 4 euros with a student discount. We also walked through St. Joseph Green Park which was absolutely stunning and the people I was with said that it reminded them of Central Park in New York. Also, we went shopping while in Dublin and I got a ring at Claddagh, and I love it! Dublin is a busy city but it is lovely when you get to see the true beauty of it.
