Do you want to see puffins up close? Well, then the Saltee Islands are for you! The Saltee Islands are an independently owned set of Islands off the Southeastern Coast of Ireland. In order to go to the Saltee Islands you must go to Kilmore Quay, Ireland, and take a ferry and then a dingy to the Islands. The ferry is about 25 minutes, and the dingy ride is less than 5 minutes. Once the dingy drops you off on the Island you are on the Island for 3 hours and the Island has no bathrooms so make sure you potty before you leave. The island is STUNNING, and you get to see Puffins. Not only do you get up close and personal with Puffins, but you also get to see seals. The Saltee Islands was so amazing and I had such a wonderful time. I think the Saltee’s are a MUST while visiting Ireland especially while visiting Wexford County. The Saltee Islands were one of my favorite places that I have ever been to in the world!
